2022 Year in Review
2022 was a big year for the Southeast - and for us at Build In SE. We have published our 2022 Year in Review, which recaps some of our organization’s key accomplishments, updates from the region, and insight into our 2023 goals and strategy.
Check out our 2022 Year in Review here.
Southeast Capital Landscape
In partnership with Embarc Collective, we have refreshed our Southeast Capital Landscape - your one-stop shop for sources of early-stage capital across the Southeast. Our database is organized by city, state, industry, and investment stage, making it easy for founders/startups to find the right potential investment partners for them.
Check out the living Southeast Capital Landscape database here.
Launching the Build In SE Expert Network
To support startups in the Southeast, we are developing the Build In SE Expert Network - a panel of business veterans tasked with answering critical industry and functional questions facing founders and operators in the region. This resource is intended to provide more detailed and tailored guidance than you’ll find elsewhere, with experts and advice well-suited for our region and audience.
2023 State of Women Who #BuildInSE
To close out March and Women’s History Month, team member Emily Elia published an updated State of Women Who #BuildInSE report. If you want to learn more about success stories from female founders and funders in the region, check it out!
Building out our network
As Build In SE continues to grow, we are looking for new curators in cities across the Southeast. Our curators are passionate about supporting startups and founders, know their cities and communities well, and are eager to serve as key connection points. If you or someone you know is interested in joining the Build In SE team, let us know here.
Nashville Tech Gives Back
Earlier this year, we proudly launched the second annual Nashville Tech Gives Back #615TechDrive, a charity drive focused on supporting great causes in middle Tennessee. While our programming associated with the drive has passed, our partners are always accepting donations. If you are interested in participating in this great mission, check out our donor guide here: Nashville Tech Gives Back | 2023 Donor Guide.
Where should we go next?
We are looking to build out our 2023 Southeast events calendar. If you’re aware of an exciting, value-add event happening in the region this year that enables startup founders, operators, supporters, or investors, we want to hear about it. Let us know by filling out our Southeast Events Form, and we’ll work to publicize it via our site and newsletter.
